Highly recommend their shows for everyone, especially those who complain that there isn't anything to do in Dhaka other than shop and eat!

I had my first Theatre experience today. And I must say it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The performance was extraordinary and before I knew I got lost in the performance and the ambience it created. A total Ten on Ten from me ♥️

মন্ত্রমুগ্ধ মঞ্চনাটকে !! গতকাল রাতে অনেকদিন পর মহিলা সমিতিতে মঞ্চনাটক দেখতে গেলাম - and then there were none । নাটকের প্লটটা বেশ কঠিনই ছিল। রহস্য গল্প মঞ্চে উপস্থাপন করা মোটেও সহজ নয়। তবে এর আগেও Open Space Theatre এর অন্য একটি শো " 12 angry men " দেখে মুগ্ধ হয়েছিলাম। সেই আশা নিয়েই গেলাম এবং মন্ত্রমুগ্ধ হয়ে থাকলাম । টানটান উত্তেজনায় কখন যে ২ ঘন্টা পার হয়ে গেল বুঝতেই পারলাম না। ধন্যবাদ Open Space Theater. একটি সুন্দর সন্ধ্যার জন্য।

I have watched '12 Angry Men' and absolutely loved it.Brilliant acting????,great sound and lights but seats were not audience friendly????.Anyway it was my first live show that's why it was an amazing experience overall.Obviously coming for others show i wish????

Watched the 31st show of 12 Angry Men. It was a fantastic experience for all of us. Everyone's performance was outstanding. All the best wishes to everyone at Open Space Theatre. I will definitely be back for more shows ❤️.

My cousin wanted to see OST production after reading the rave reviews. I am a theatre buff, so I gladly accompanied him to a staging of Arsenic and Old Lace. what I did not anticipate was a 2 hour long torture session. I could not decide whether I was at a Jatra or a theatre. the stage design, props, costumes, light direction were top notch. what was horrible and lacking was one thing- acting. the entire time, the actors kept shouting, their voices were monotonous, intonation was tone deaf except for high pitched dialogue throwing which can only be properly described as a cacophony. If they spoke 10 words, 6 were blabbering. it was supposed to be a black comedy, but it was difficult to find comedy above the mess. Kanjush by Tarik Aman Khan's Lok Natrodol is renowned as one of the loudest and cacophonous productions in BD. yet, Konjush will fail to meet the low standards set by OST's Arsenic. I doubt whether the actors have studied any productions by stalwart groups like Dhaka, Prachyanat, Aranyak who defined the theatre in BD. OST has caught the youth's mind for sure, but they are yet to attain quality. If this is where Bangladeshi theatre is headed, then things do look bleak.
